My New Obsession

My New Obsession

Years ago, when I fell in love with cooking, I got most of my recipes from the Taste of Home and Taste of Home Quick Cooking magazines.  Every month I would wait for my two magazines and peruse through them for new dishes to make.  And at the end of the year, I would buy their annuals and the annual of their sister magazine, Country Living.

I finally stopped subscribing to these magazines because I had ten years’ worth of recipes that I would never get through.  But I would still sometimes pick up a digest-sized cookbook at Ralph’s if it caught my attention.  I never really stopped looking for new dishes to make.

These days I find recipes on the internet, specifically, Facebook.  I follow several pages like Recipes For Family, Eating On A Dime, Brown Eyed Baker, Delish Recipes, Skinny Recipes, and Taste of Home.  Today I was looking for a recipe for potato soup I thought I saved but hadn’t.  I did find it, and I’ll be making it next week.  Now I have to find the recipe for herb biscuits I saved…

Found it!

Aside from cooking at home, I also am a volunteer on kitchen staff at my church.  Kris argues that I make her fat.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2mU6USTBRE
