Relax-a-weekend

The three-week storage move is done, so it was time to relax and celebrate.  Between a couple of envelopes buried in storage, Kris found $48.00, so Friday we treated ourselves to Topper’s Pizza.

You ever notice that when you go into a pizza place almost all the woman have a salad, but you’d be hard pressed to find a guy having a salad?  I think all us guys save all our room for pizza.  I know I do.

I found a penny.

During these last three weeks, I let a lot of things slide, so now I’m catching up.  Yesterday I finally turned my calendar to February.  Things are already starting to pile up, including Gallifrey One next weekend.

I also fell behind on my daily Bible reading.

I also had to tell my novel critique group that I wouldn’t be able to make the meeting.  I didn’t even have time to read the submitted material.  I’ve never done that before.  Even when I couldn’t make a meeting, I still read the material and submitted my critiques to the authors.

And I finally went back to church today after a three-week absence.

Even Kris is trying to catch up.  She’s in the Gallifrey One Art Show and she’s trying to finish up her art pieces.

Hmmm…I wonder what she’s working on.

If you look at the bracelet  – don’t blink!

Next week, we’re going to Gallifrey!  (Where else would I get my Girl Scout Cookies?)

Con report to follow.

“Tonight’s experiment was, “The Best Crockpot Chili Recipe”.  https://crayonsandcravings.com/crockpot-chili/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0ok4AwO5vdWKO2EwavpBjirTVunLrgkiQKb0fsbS4TBBvMxPNS4Tnuh7o_aem_u6bA9sZ83Kac9JkelOjcCA

Cooking this in the crockpot made the apartment smell wonderful.  And it tasted just as wonderful served with fresh cornbread.  Easy to make.  Just brown the ground beef, add onions and garlic and throw everything into the crockpot for four hours.  I would add more chili powder, but that’s our taste.

Since this is the first chili Dennis made in the crockpot, I guess it is The Best Crockpot Chili Recipe – so far.”  – Vincent Reinhart
