It’s a Dead Man’s Party

It’s a Dead Man’s Party

Yesterday we went to a Halloween party hosted by the U.S.S. Angeles https://ussangeles.org/ , the local Star Trek Fan Club.  As I stated in the title, I was a music pirate and I was under “a rest”.  I even won the award for Most Humorous.

Kris also won an award for Most Original.  She went as a character from one of her novels – which can be found here:  https://whocate.info/#  (shameless plug)

While at the party, she also made a new friend…

His name is Rooster.

Our hosts, Jen and Paul, won for best couple.  If you know Star Trek, you know the history of red shirts.

And Chris won for scariest costume.  The thought of Chris as an Admiral is really scary.

Great fun, great food.  Can’t wait for the next Angeles get-together.

“Dennis has made several roll-ups before like Herb, B no L, T, Cool Ranch Chicken and others.  For the party he made a new one, Buffalo Chicken Pinwheels.  https://happyhomeschoolnest.com/buffalo-chicken-pinwheels/?fbclid=IwY2xjawF6x2dleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHVCiLsTXlbBDlzcCaSsoqd0yBVPFRR-jBzygDSj_lWMpsKQQzgDHelKuwQ_aem_ufe0Q4uJpbHuFZZ_yHllEA

Sorry, Dennis didn’t take any pictures of the ones he made, this is just a picture from the website.

Instead of using Frank’s Red-Hot Sauce, Dennis used Red Beard’s Hot Sauce.  It’s what he had on had and it’s one of his favorites.  One warning, but not what you would think.  When freshly made, they are hot.  Dennis didn’t even put in the full amount of hot sauce.  But as they age in the fridge, the cream cheese neutralizes the capsaicin in the hot sauce, so they lose their heat.  If you want them to be hot, make them really hot.

Next week, I’ll review two recipes Dennis did last week.  I’m a bit behind.” – Vincent Reinhart
