A Foodie Christmas

A Foodie Christmas

You can tell a person is a foodie when they are excited about getting cookware for Christmas.  Kristine’s sister, Leslie, wanted to get Dennis something for Christmas, so she collaborated with Kris and got Dennis a new Granite Stone cookware set.  Dennis loves his Guy Fieri cookware set, but after 12 years, a lot of the pieces were losing their non-stickiness.  Dennis will still hold onto some of the old pots and pans that are still good, but the new set will take center stage on the oven.

As Dennis puts it, “New tools to make Kris fat!”

It was the only present that wouldn’t fit under the tree.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas, and wishing you a Happy New Year from the Cherry household.

Well, this was an unexpected treat.  Kris baked something new, Banana Banana (yes, that’s the word, “banana” twice – there’s so much banana in it!) Bread  https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/20144/banana-banana-bread/

Kris has always liked bananas, Dennis has always been kind of “meh” on bananas, but even Dennis enjoyed this treat.  Best hot out of the oven with lots of butter.  A rather dense bread that’s truly satisfying.  Went well with the minestrone soup Dennis made.
