Vincent’s Year-End Food Review
During the year of 2024, Dennis experimented with 21 new recipes. Today I Will showcase the top five.
But first, I have been remiss in my review duties during the holidays. Dennis has tried three new recipes in the past few weeks.

My apologies, no pictures except for what you will find on the link. This is the first of the Top Five recipes of the year. This instantly became one of Kris’s favorites. Mad Woman With A Box was over for dinner that night and fell in love with it as well. The creaminess and the cheesiness cannot be beaten. The noodles do tend to absorb a lot of the liquid, so it comes out more the texture of a goulash, but that doesn’t matter. This soup is hard to beat.

This was quite a delightful surprise. Two ingredients, it couldn’t be simpler. If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own with regular flour, salt and baking soda. Kris hates the taste of beer, but you don’t taste the beer. And because it’s done in a crockpot, it doesn’t take up space in your oven if you’re cooking something else for dinner.

Three of Dennis’ favorite dishes all rolled into one. It’s basically a barbecue meatloaf with a mac and cheese topping. So, it’s basically its own side dish. This was an instant winner.

If you’re looking for a lighter meal, Asian is always a good choice. This one became one of Kris’s favorites. We’ve had it several times since.

This is a recipe that lived up to its name. This is the creamiest mac and cheese he has found so far. It even rivals his other favorite, Taco Mac and Cheese with Rotel.
Dennis doesn’t make it one of his goals (and he will be reviewing his 2024 goals next year) to try new recipes anymore because he does it so regularly. I think 21 new recipes this year proves that.
Can’t wait to see what next year brings.
