‘Tis the Season
And let’s not forget the reason. This Saturday and Sunday Calvary Bible Church’s https://www.calvarybiblechurch.org/ annual Christmas concert.
But before that, our fellowship group (what some of us still call Sunday school) had a potluck lunch.
Somebody brought tamales. That made my day. My contribution was rollups. I made five different kinds.
I am grateful for my church family. I was raised Catholic. I went to Saint Mathias Catholic Church into my early twenties, attended some others afterwards, even a Byzantine Catholic Church, but I never felt I had a church family until I became Christian and started going to Calvary Bible Church in Burbank.
As I volunteer on kitchen staff, I helped set out the cookies as they came in.
The concert was a wonderful blessing as always. You can see it here https://www.calvarybiblechurch.org/events/event/817/christmas-concert-hope-has-a-name/2023-12-09
Check out the hard rock version of Carol of the Bells at 1:09:44. Making a joyful noise comes in all forms.
And afterwards, cookie fellowship!
God bless us, everyone!
