One Last Stop
It’s funny how Facebook knows everything about you – LIKE WHERE YOU ARE! We spent a day in Perris, CA, after my niece’s and nephew-in-law’s (?) wedding. I was looking at Facebook and suddenly this post came up from Obieats. It was about a new snack shop in Riverside called Big Back Snax https://www.bigbacksnax.com/
You know, when I was growing up, people were paranoid about the government getting all your information and knowing everything about you. Now we just give away everything about us when we sign up for Google or a grocery store card. Like, how does Ralph’s know I like to buy El Paso Taco Seasoning???
Anyway, time for one more stop before going home.
This place was amazing! It had snacks from all over the world. But the most amazing thing about it was it was selling out of everything.
Half the shelves were empty even though they kept getting in shipments and restocking while we were there.
And the line for check-out never went down.
I could see why. They had unique flavors of items I’ve never seen anywhere, like Dill Pickle Cup-O-Noodles and Pumpkin Cup-O-Noodles.
PUMPKIN ALL THE THINGS!!!!
Some flavors I have to question. Mint Oreos, sure. But cheese-filled Oreos?
And talk about questionable tie-ins, Fanta’s Chuckie’s Punch???
Nacho Cheese Dill Pickle? I don’t know…
And should I drink the Kool Aid?
This was a great stop. Next time we visit Jessica in Perris, we’ll definitely have to make another stop here. Hopefully, they’ll be restocked.
And one final stop going home was Old Spaghetti Factory in San Dimas.

“This isn’t so much as a recipe, but a way Dennis learned to do barbeque chicken in his kitchen ministry at church. Start with some chicken breasts. Rub them down with Pappy’s Choice Seasoning (Dennis got it at Smart & Final. There are four or five variations). Grill them to get the grill lines, then bake them in the oven at 350* for 20 minutes. Quick and easy. Dennis served them with spaghetti with butter sauce and mizithra cheese from The Old Spaghetti Factory. That’s one of this household’s favorite pasta recipes.” – Vincent Reinhart
