Yay! I’m Old!

We started Friday night when Kris signed up for Shout! Factory’s seven-day free trial.  When you sign up, you get access to the third season of “Thunderbirds are Go!” on Tubi.  We’ve been waiting to see season three for years.  Something BIG happens at the end of season three, but I don’t want to spoil it.

This is a little confusing and always makes Kris’ head spin.  Three seasons of “Thunderbirds are Go!”  were produced.  Amazon Prime has season one and two, but they broke up the first two 26-episode seasons into four 13-episoode seasons.  So, they are listed on Amazon as seasons one through four.  Now Shout! Factory has put season 3 (listed as seasons five and six) on Tubi…

MEAT!

I had the double combo of sausage and pulled pork with a side of their beans and dirty rice.  I also had the honor of sitting at the Captain’s Table.  We invited Dave Mason, the captain of the U.S.S. Angeles https://ussangeles.org/ and his girlfriend Lisa Sobien to join us. Lisa was in Orange County visiting her parents that weekend, so only Dave could join us.

It was a very satisfying dinner.

Then tonight, Kris had got me a rum cake from Bea’s Bakery in Tarzana.  https://www.beasbakery.com/  Growing up, my dad loved rum cake and would always buy his own birthday cake from a bakery in downtown Los Angeles where he worked.  That’s where I got my love of rum cake.

We didn’t forget to light some candles, that’s my age in binary.  (It saves on candles)

And tomorrow is my actual birthday, September 16.  It’s easy to remember, it’s Mexican Independence Day.  And for that, I’m…
