Ebisu Life Store

Ebisu Life Store

On October 23rd, Kris and I headed out to Perris, CA, for our niece’s wedding.  But first, we made a stop at the Ebisu Life Store in Alhambra.  https://www.ebisulifestore.com/  According to the website, there are 23 stores across the United States. These pictures all seem to be from the one in Alhambra.  If you go to “Learn More”, you will see this one opened in 2025.  At the bottom, you will also see the address.

We entered through the back through parking garage, but this is what the front looks like.

Once inside, there is this awesome anime figure display.

And then this by the back door.

There are also these three life-size figures by the corner door.

There are a ton of anime figures.

Oh, look, Shin Chan!  He’s considered the Bart Simson of anime.

They also have models.

But upon closer inspection, I noticed something.

That gold wheel is a Technic piece and that trigger is made up of Technic pieces.  These were Lego knock-off models.  Now, I’m a Lego purist, nothing but real Lego in my collection.  Most AFOLs are.  But this gun was the first non-Lego set to temp me.

They also had some puzzles.  I like doing an occasional puzzle.  This was a great one, but I found $40.00 to be a little pricey.

There were aisles and aisles of housewares, skin care, pins and patches.  But we were there for the snacks, and we were not disappointed.  Drinks as far as the eye could see.

Ramen as far as the eye could see.

Kitkats as far as the eye could see.

And ice cream.  They were in a freezer case, so not as far as the eye could see.

Oddly enough, I found some of these at a 7-11 in Perris.

But the find of the day was these soft serve ice creams in pouches that are very popular in Japan.  I had the vanilla and Kris had the chocolate.  They were excellent.  The next time we’re out this way, I’m bringing a cooler full of dry ice to bring some of these home.

And we will be back.  The store is about 45 minutes from home and not that far from the Glendale Gallería and just down the street from the Huntington Library.  It seems to be in an Asian part of town.  There were several Asian restaurants and a 35 Degree Bakery.
