Welcome to the Jungle

Welcome to the Jungle

Our house plants are taking over.  A while back, we put them under a sun lamp and they took off.   I have mentioned them before, so I thought I’d give you an update.  We have four plants by the TV.  They have grown so big that they are starting to block Kris’ view of the television from her desk.

We have two habaneros, Darwin, on the left, and Gumball, on the right.

Gumball’s leaves are now as big as Kris’ hands.

We’ve started to nickname him Icarus because he’s always reaching for the sun.  And just now, he’s starting to branch.

Spidey, our spider plant is reaching out all over the place.

Spiney Norman, our Euphorbia, now flowers every couple of months.  He used to flower every couple of years.

Kris’ violet, Violet, is doing well.

Wanderer, the Wandering Jew, is taking over Kris’ desk.

And we can’t forget about Leif Garrett, the potted clipping that was dying.  But instead of giving up, he reinvented himself and crated a whole new stem.  He is now on his fifth leaf.  The first one dried up and fell off.
