We Interrupt this Blog
So, yes, I did promise that I would blog about the blood drive where everything went wrong, but I got bigger news…
I GOT A NEW (to me) CAR!
Back in August, I was in an accident that totaled my car. And about a month ago, we finally got the settlement. But with my niece’s wedding, then Loscon, I didn’t have time to look for another car. Then a friend of mine at church put my request up on the church social board, and the next day I got a response.
It’s a 2007 Hundi Sonata. We couldn’t figure out what the color was, but according to the paint code, it’s Golden Beige Metallic. Frankly, I don’t see the gold in it, but whatever. We took it to my mechanic to check it out. The only real problem was it needed a new battery. But that’s just a maintenance issue, so we bought it. It’s really clean for an 18-year-old car and it has a lot of power. For reference, my Mustang was 28 years old and I would have kept it longer if it wasn’t for the accident. We tend to keep cars until they die.
We named it Flash Sentry, after the “My Little Pony” character. Kris’ car is named Shining Armor, also a “My Little Pony” character. See previous blogs about Kris and I being a Pegsister and a Brony. For those of you not familiar with the show, Twilight Sparkle is the main (or mane) character and Shining Armor is her older brother, who became the prince of the Crystal Kingdom. Flash Sentry is a royal guard under his command. In the Equestria Girl Universe, he is also the guy that takes an interest in Twilight when she goes through the portal from the Ponyverse to the EQU.
So I got new wheels and Kris gets her wheels back. Life be rollin’!

“Last week’s experiment was Cheesy Garlic Bread Using Hawaiian Rolls. This was from a Reels video on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?ref=saved&v=1162515762596620
Wow! All I can say is WOW! Hawaiian Rolls are already awesome as they are. But to add cheese and herbs to then makes them AMAZING!!! My only suggestion would be you only need ¾ of a stick of butter instead of an entire stick. Dennis made 9 rolls and we had more than enough. You will love this addition to any meal.” – Vincent Reinhart.
