USS Angeles Pool Party

Today was our Star Trek club’s pool party. Which means I got to grill for my friends.
On Sunday over the fires of hell.
We found a shady spot in our apartment complex. It wasn’t close to the pool, but it was the coolest place in this 100-degree weather.
We’ve had a mild summer here in Southern California – EXCEPT FOR THIS WEEKEND!!
Seven people came to the party, only two actually went into the pool. I was not one of them. Ironically, I’m hosting a pool party, but I never learned how to swim.

And speaking of cooking, yesterday was the Woman Together Breakfast at Calvary Bible Church, Burbank. https://www.calvarybiblechurch.org/ We had about 120 women at the breakfast. In addition to the breakfast burritos and egg casserole (for which I scrambled 450 eggs), we also served pancakes, waffles, fruit, granola and yogurt.
