Back on Her Feet – so to Speak

So, this might not look like a big deal to you, but since her surgery, Kris has not been able to lay flat in bed.  Laying flat on her back stretches her abdomen, which is uncomfortable and can cause her pain.  Sleeping on her right side has caused her pain because that’s where the hernia was.  Sleeping on her left side caused her pain because that’s where her lightsaber holes (where they made the orthoscopic incisions) are.  But after three weeks, she is finally able to lie in bed, even if it is only for a nap.

Up until now, she has been sleeping in this lounge chair we rented.

She has been able to go out and do some errands with me.  We went to the mall to get some things we needed, and look at things we didn’t.

And later, we stopped at one of her favorite places for lunch.

Her recovery is progressing and this three-day weekend is helping.  Tomorrow we’re getting together with some friends to see a movie.
