Nothing to See Here
Sometimes it’s easy coming up with topics for my blog. A convention might give me three weeks’ worth of material. Or if I find a new restaurant or store. Other times, it’s tough. There have been times where I haven’t come up with a topic until the last minute.
Honestly, I don’t do something interesting every week. Some weeks are just routine, but I usually do something. Until this week…
Last Monday at work I started coughing. I didn’t think much of it, it was just a small irritation in my throat. But overnight it became a huge cough. By Tuesday morning, I was too sick to go to work. I had no energy to do anything but lie in bed. Wednesday wasn’t much better. Although I was starting to get tired of lying in bed all day, but I still had no energy to do anything else.
Oh, and by the way, it’s hard to fall asleep or stay asleep when your lungs are wheezing. And by Wednesday night, Kris started coughing. And she got it full blown the next day.
Thursday, just about the same. But I thought by Friday I would be better. So, I got up at my regular time on Friday, showered, got dressed, ate, and by the time I walked to my car, I was exhausted. I realized I couldn’t drive to work like that, and if I got to work, I’d be useless.
It wasn’t until later Friday that I felt like doing anything, like, check email, read…
So here it is, Sunday night and I haven’t done anything this week. Just recovering and now taking care of Kris who sounds worse than I did.
So, nothing to see here.
P.S. – on a positive note (if there can be one), Dennis has lost five pounds and I’ve lost 3.6 lbs. Considering that weight loss is one of Dennis’s goals this year, it’s good, but not a weight loss strategy I would recommend =( Kristine
