Burrrrgurrrs!!!

Burrrrgurrrs!!!

Okay, I’m not the kind of person that always posts pictures of the food they eat, but I have to make an exception.  For the second week in a row, Baby’s Badass Burgers’ food truck stopped on my route home.  Last week they were on Ventura Boulevard right off the 101 Freeway, this week they were in Agoura Hills.  Since they are rarely up our way, we went both times.

These are like the best burgers ever.  You can check out their menu and pictures of their burgers here   http://www.babysbadassburgers.com/

This last visit, I had THE GOOD WIFE.  If you haven’t tried it, a fried eggs works really well in a burger.  The smooth texture of the egg white is a nice contrast to the rough texture of the beef patty.  And when you bite into the yoke, it’s like an additional sauce.  I first had an egg on a burger at Slader’s 50/50 (50% ground beef, 50% ground bacon).  I’ve been hooked ever since.

Kris had THE ORIGINAL BEAUTY.  She loves swiss, onions and mushrooms.

You also need to try the PIG TALES curly fries W/ BABY’S 10-SPICE CHILI AND CHEESE.  That’s a meal in itself.  When they were on Ventura, they ran out.

They also have a veggie and a vegan burger for those of you who are not meat inclined.  Reminds me of a sign I once saw on another food truck once, “Our Cows are vegan so you don’t have to be”.  Yeah, that’s the way I look at it.  I’m going to hunt me down some ground meat.

If you look at the sign on the truck you will see it says, “Baby’s is a military food vendor and has to comply with the strict regulations of national military bases”.  So these are military grade burgers!

They have six trucks, five in southern California and one in Houston, Texas.  From their main website, you can go to the website of each truck and check out their schedule.  We first discovered them when they were at a Gallifrey One Dr. Who convention at the LAX Marriott Hotel.  We became instant fans.  And now we can follow their trucks on their website, Twitter and Instagram.

I love to make my own burgers at home as well.  This is the best burger recipe I’ve found so far:   https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/49404/juiciest-hamburgers-ever/?internalSource=hub%20recipe&referringContentType=Search&clickId=cardslot%201
